Want a better life?

We all want a better life. We want the most this life has to offer for us. Yet, we all, in one way or another, do just the opposite of what is in our best interests. Instead of seeking truth ourselves, we tend to listen to the rest of society or the world that is dominated by Satan. The world teaches us not to listen to our conscience, but to listen to the media and our peers. It teaches us, not to recognize God for what He is, but to put ourselves and our own self-interests first in our lives. The world has created a “ME” society where only self matters. God teaches that “whatever we done to ourselves, we should do to another person”. That means that we cannot find love, happiness and fulfillment in our lives, without first wanting it for someone else. That is just the opposite of what the world teaches. It means putting others and their hopes and dreams ahead of ourselves. As we do this we put ourselves second, and others first, in order that God will put us first in His life. It sounds backwards unless we consider it closer. Is it better to be number one in your own life, with limited power, abilities, and understanding, or is it better to be number one with God who can do all things – even the the miraculous?
Jesus said that, “The enemy (Satan) comes only to steal, kill and destroy. I come that they might have life, and life more abundantly.”
Satan has made the world believe that they are helping themselves by ignoring God. Satan has taught us that we are serving ourselves, feeding our egos and maintaining our independence when we “shack up” instead of finding a marriage partner and forming a family. He teaches us that we are doing what is right for us, even though listening to him steals our lives, destroys our chance of happiness, destroys the lives of our children as they grow up, and destroys society. We should find our perfect partner and procreate; not procreate and hope a suitable partner shows up every so often. Do we really want future ‘baby factories” and children raised in government institutions?
Do we really think that illicit or “free sex” is protecting ourselves or our society? Do we really believe that pornography is not teaching watchers to fantasize perversion?
Do we really believe that the debate concerning marriage between one man and one woman isn’t hurting society?
“Satan comes only to steal, kill and destroy.”
Will we allow Satan to steal our lives, our society and our nation? Will we allow him to kill us with drugs or reckless behavior? Will we allow Satan to destroy us, our hopes and dreams, and our future? Will we be a party to his plan to “steal, kill and destroy.” Or will we follow the teachings of God, allow Him to make a good life for us, and give us eternal life, without the frailties, faults and pain of this world?
Jesus said that it begins by learning to love God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength; and loving ones neighbor as he loves himself. The rest is easy: Do unto others what you would have done to you, and you’ll be on your way to life and life more abundantly.
Learn of God’s plan for your life by reading the Word of God, the Bible, beginning with the New Testament, before you allow yourself to be taken in by the lies of Satan.
