Is God simply waiting for us to come to Him?

God is not simply waiting for us to ask for His help. He already knows that we need His help. That is why He sent His son, Jesus. He knew that “the wages of sin is death“, and, so, He sent His son to pay that penalty and free us from the penalty of death. God gave us life, not to ignore and forget Him, but so that He could share our lives, to share our pain and our joys. He wants to lead us away from destroying ourselves, and to give us happiness, success, healing, and prosperity. He wants us to have life and life more abundantly.
Jesus said, “The enemy comes only to steal, kill and destroy, but I come to give life and life more abundantly.”
God pursues us. Every time you hear someone witness about their relationship with God, every time you hear of a miracle, and every time you hear of a story about “life after death”, God is speaking through them to us, and calling us to Him. Are we too dense or jaded to hear Him?
No, God is not simply waiting for us. He is calling out to us. Even as you read this blog, He is asking you to return to Him, to allow Him to help you, to allow Him to live in you and you in Him. He is calling. Are you listening? The “rest of your life” is waiting for His help, and your soul is crying out for an eternity with its creator. Are you listening?
Matthew ll:28-30 “Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. 29“Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and YOU WILL FIND REST FOR YOUR SOULS. 30“For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”
