There was a time when liberalism was good for America. The early tycoons took advantage of their absolute power by working their workers 7 days a week and 10 or more hours a day. Tennessee Ernie Ford recorded the song “Sixteen Tons” , in which contained the words, ” St Peter, I can’t go. I owe my soul to the company store.” Blacks were not the only slaves in America at that time. Any common laborer was enslaved to their jobs. The only difference was that whites could go to a different town or state and offer themselves up for enslavement to those paying their meager wages.
Liberalism wasn’t just good for the work place. Liberalism brought in social security retirement, medicaire and medicaid and prescription programs.
Liberalism was good, but like any good thing, the radicals took over and pretended to be an extension of that which was good. Now the new radicals demand that we open our borders to people who have sworn to destroy us and our way of life. They demand that only left-wing radicalism can be heard. They demand that every form of anti-morality becomes the law of the land. Their demands, ironically, will lead to re-enslavement and destruction of the people – just the opposite of the goal of original liberalism. The left-wing media and politicians have twisted the truth 190° in order to cause good-hearted people to destroy themselves., while thinking that they are making the world a better place.
It’s time to reassess labels and determine who and what you actually support. It’s time to use your God-given intellect instead of false and misleading slogans.
