John 1:1-5 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2He was with God in the beginning.
3Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4In him was life, and that life was the light of men. 5The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it…. “
John 1:14 “The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.”
Genesis 1:3 “And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.”
In the above verses we see that God simply spoke all of creation into being. He spoke the word, and the abstract and intangible became visible, physical, and touchable.
In the same way, God spoke our salvation into being in the form of Jesus, the Son of God, and Messiah of the world. Jesus is the Word. He is our salvation. Through Him we can have forgiveness of our sins, mistakes and blunders. Through Him we are reconciled with God the Father. Through Him we can have an eternal relationship and commune with the Almighty God of the Universe.
God spoke salvation into the world, but we must speak our own personal salvation into being by confessing, that Jesus is the Son of God, that He was sent by his Father to take our sins upon himself, through his torture and crucifixion, so that we may be forgiven of our sins, and have ever-lasting life, that He was resurrected, and as he laid down his life for us, we must vow to live our lives for him, spreading God’s love throughout the world, and bringing salvation to all mankind.
Proverbs 18-21 “Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.”
Will you say the words that bring eternal life in Heaven, or will you speak words of eternal damnation in Hell. You have the power. It’s as easy as speaking.
