Jesus: Transfer of life and power

He became you on the cross,
That you could become him in life.
He died for your life,
that you could live his life.

Because of the sacrifice and death of Jesus, the Son of God, and Messiah, we have received the promise of ever-lasting life, and empowered through the Holy Spirit. Christ’s mission was to save souls. It is now our mission.

II Corinthians 5:17, ” Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”

We are no longer our old person. We are a new person, empowered by the Holy Spirit, and taking on the persona and mission of Christ. This is our purpose and goal. This is our victory over this world and death, through Him who loved us enough to suffer and die for our sins. The plan for our lives is laid out before us. Our destiny is secure.

Matthew 18:20 18Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And lo, I am with you always, even unto the ends of the world.”
