What is morality, really? Is it like a dress code: You must be properly dressed in order to enter? Or does it have a deeper meaning? Proverbs tells us to:
Proverbs 3:5-6King James Version (KJV)5″ Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”
That simple passage tells us to trust God completely, not to trust in our own logic or the world’s logic, but to acknowledge Him in everything we do (follow His moral wisdom}, and we will be led in the path that will bless us the most.
In my book, “God, Reward and Punishment: Are they real? “, I give example after example of people, politics and nations who chose between God and Man’s wisdom and where it led them.
Time after time the book demonstrates that wanting misfortune for another brings misfortune to oneself. And wanting success or good fortune for another brings blessings to oneself. Trusting in God and following His morality brings success to a person, while negativity in one’s life or towards others brings nothing but defeat and destruction. Our society has led many to trust only in themselves or the mumbo-jumbo of their peers, and have, not only, brought turmoil to their own lives, but have undermined the very fabric of society. God teaches us that He is the source of all wisdom and prosperity. Will we ignore perfect understanding of life – past, present and future – or will we muddle along, trying to figure out what is beyond our understanding, while we destroy our lives and our nation? Surely, we have the intelligence to choose between the path to destruction, or the path that promises reward, success and fulfillment.
What is morality? It is the path to a better life, and the path to eternal life.
Proverbs 3:5-6King James Version (KJV)
5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
