Do you pray to yourself, or do you pray aloud, so that both you and God can hear it? Do you just have a warm place in your heart for God, or do you praise and thank Him openly and aloud? Do you read your Bible silently to yourself, or aloud so that your sense of hearing can, also, record what you read?
God spoke the heavens and earth into existence. His word was God’s connection to the physical world, and through the word, He spoke creation into existence. The Book of John tells us that “In the beginning was the word, and the Word was with God and was God. And through Him all things were made, and without Him was nothing made.” It then tells us that the Word became flesh and lived among men. Yes, Jesus was the spoken word of God (His promise of salvation to man) that became flesh and blood and brought salvation to mankind. Jesus said that if we have the faith of a mustard seed, we could say unto the mountain, be thou cast into the sea and it would be done. Notice that Jesus said to “say” unto the mountain. The Word is a powerful thing. It provides all things from creation to salvation and all things in between. So, don’t be timid. Speak your desire out loud so that you, God and the world can hear. And don’t be afraid to shout out your praise and gratitude to God. He wants to hear you, and He wants to see your joy and enthusiasm. He isn’t impressed with your intellect, but He is moved by your emotions. The Bible brought us to Him. Now He wants our unconditional love. So show it to Him, openly and aloud. And don’t be afraid to vocally tell the mountain to be cast into the sea. Use the power that you have been given through the spoken word.
