I recently underwent surgery to correct an abdominal aortic anuerysm. I had gone to doctors twice and was still suffering the affects of my condition. Then I went to the emergency room and demanded that they find out what is causing my symptoms. I requested an ultra-sound to check for an anuerysm, and they found it.
They operated once, and found that it was leaking. I had lost 2 pints of blood and they operated again. The combination of the loss of blood and the medications I received put me out of reality for 8 to 10 days. I was told that I had to be restrained and had tried to hit people. I don’t remember any of it. All I knew is that I was fighting to regain reality and to escape from that dream world. I finally gave up, and prayed, “Father, restore me in this world or in Heaven. I don’t care, the choice is up to you.”
As you can see God has been restoring me, for whatever purpose I may serve Him. I did realize one thing during this ordeal. God does not place restrictions on our healing. We do. We say to ourselves, “He healed 2000 years ago, but not today.”, “He heals good people, but not me.”, I’m too tarnished to be healed.”, “I’m not worthy of being healed.”, etc. But, then I realized that, when Jesus walked this earth in His ministry, He NEVER refused to heal anyone. He never said to anyone, that he would heal everyone, except that person. He never said, “this is a test, and you have to suffer through it. I won’t heal you.” He never said, “you are too sinful.” His forgiveness healed them. He never turned anyone away. He healed everyone. With His stripes we ARE healed. It isn’t our choice. It’s His choice to heal everyone who comes to Him.
If I had been adamant about being physically healed here on Earth, I don’t know what the outcome would have been. I do know that submitting myself to His will, His perfection healed me, and I am here to give you this message. “Humble yourself under the mighty hand of God, so that He may, one day, exalt you.” Humble yourself to God. He heals in mind, body and spirit. May His will always be done. Glory be to the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Amen
